Getting Started
Get up and running with Merkleshare in a few minutes.
1. Create an account
Visit merkleshare.com and create an account. You'll choose a handle that becomes your profile URL.
We encourage linking your Bluesky account—this lets others find you using your domain handle (like @yoursite.com) and makes your profile more discoverable.
2. Create a collection
Collections are how you organize files on Merkleshare. Click New Collection to create one. Give it a name and optionally a description.
Each collection has a visibility setting:
- Public — Listed on your profile and searchable
- Unlisted — Accessible to anyone with the link
- Private — Only visible to you
3. Upload files
Drag and drop files into your collection, or click to browse.
There's no file size limit, but larger files take longer to upload. Supported file types include images, videos, documents, code, and more.
4. Share your collection
Copy the collection URL to share it with others. If your collection is public, it will appear on your profile page.
You can also share individual files by clicking on them and copying the direct link.
Using the CLI
For power users, the CLI provides a fast way to upload and manage files from the terminal.
curl -fsSL https://www.merkleshare.com/install.sh | bashSee the CLI documentation for more details.
